Alexa Santana, RMHCI

 

Alexa believes in creating a safe environment that fosters a meaningful therapeutic relationship in order to help her clients build the skills they need to reach their highest potential. Alexa obtained her Master's of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Long Island University. She has a variety of past experiences, including working in inpatient mental health and substance abuse, outpatient mental health and substance abuse, and community based mental health services. Alexa offers counseling for children 5 and up, adolescents, and adults. Through the use of various modalities, including cognitive behavioral therapy, treatment is tailored to meet her client's individual needs. She enjoys helping others work through life challenges, including  behavioral issues, anxiety, depression, self-harm, stress management, life transitions, and substance abuse issues.
